Life Problems

Every time I plan on writing something for the blog, something always happens to stop that. I really am not in too much liberty to say right now the issues going on in life that are messing things up right now. However, let's just say the people who actually made my life difficult used this blog against me. As a result, I stopped writing on here for a little bit so they could not use what I write against me.

Now that I figured out what was going on, I can now start writing again. A lot of things have happened with the issues and I would like to start writing about it, but for the time being, I would like to really figure out how I can word it the best way possible. I think writing about it would really help me with the issues going on. As much as they are physical in nature (and I mean physical not in a health sense but in things like going on in the real world), they are also messing with my mental wellbeing. I also would like to talk about gaming again because I have the new Xbox Series X. I wanted to write more about the Washington Football Team and their other skill positions but just did not have the time with the issues and the start of the season.

I know it has been a lot of excuses and I have said I am going to stop, but it is life and sometimes you can just not control everything that goes on. Thank you to those who have stood by and kept my view count up.

Xbox Just Bought Bethesda

Can you believe the title of this post? By now, this is old news but I wanted to take some time for the dust to settle before I really dove into this. Microsoft agreed to enter into an agreement with ZeniMax and all its subsidiaries. Think about what this means. Microsoft would own the franchises to Doom, Quake, Rage, Dishonored, Prey, Wolfenstein, The Evil Within, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls Online. This is crazy ridiculous.

This was probably all started after a lot of PlayStation fanboys were talking about how Xbox did not have any great first-party exclusives. Now, I play both and I would have to agree. The only reason why I do have a PlayStation is that I like their stories. I think Horizon Zero Dawn was a masterpiece and I am looking forward to the new game. I like Xbox franchises, as well. Gears of War is probably my favorite. But I objectively see the point. There really aren't really any story-driven franchises in Xbox Game Studios. Unless you count the ones the bought from other game studios. I am probably going to get a little bit of slack for that comment but I can understand the sentiment. At least not a game like Horizon Zero Dawn or The Last of Us.

So, what does this all mean? Obviously, Xbox would have the right to all these franchises and ZeniMax Media would now become a part of Xbox Game Studios. There are a few more possible outcomes as well. Todd Howard stated thus far, there were no exact plans to keep at least Bethesda games Xbox exclusive. However, I see this as a statement to quell the masses who are not on Xbox. I originally thought this was a move by Xbox to have ZeniMax IPs at least exclusive on Game Pass, but  I think, judging how Xbox treats Xbox Game Studio subsidiaries, Zenimax is going to be all Xbox/Microsoft exclusive. I do believe they will continue to support games that are on other platforms, but for all future releases, will just be Xbox.

What do you think is going to end up happening? Do you think ZeniMax will be exclusive or continue to create games for other platforms? Do you think this is a bad or good idea? Let me know in the comments. Thank you and Happy Gaming!

Post Move Update

I am on here to update everyone on the comings and goings after moving. We have settled into our new home into North Carolina. Weston has started school and I have begun to transition into my new work assignment. Things have gotten quite busy and that is why I am here writing this article.

My new job has me going 100mph. That is 161 kph for my metric readers. I have not had a lot of time to myself. When I get home, I am passed out within an hour of getting home. I am up at like 4 am. It is crazy! I do feel accomplished, however, it is just messing up my time I have on here to write articles. I wanted to start streaming and it has gotten harder to do as well.

I am writing that review to Ghost of Tsushima, which should be done today. The issue I am having is trying to remain relevant. I am not going to get any attention if I am only writing less than six articles a month. I need to be writing upwards of 20. I think in order to fix this and get more things out, I need to use the blog as a almost daily journal as well. Really hit up that life category. I could have posted a bunch about my cooking as well and totally spaced out on it. I also have plenty of school papers I can use to bring other points across as well. Might start looking into those. Oh, and YouTube!

Regardless, it is my fault this is not updated as much as it should, but I can blame work for that as well. I know I have apologized many times in the past but gotta stop making excuses. Thank you for being with me so far and hopefully you stick around even more!

The Buser Family Cross Country Road Trip: Part 3

Well everyone, this is the last post to our cross country road trip. I have been in North Carolina for a couple of weeks and feel really bad I just got around to finishing it. Been quite busy since I got here but here it is. The finale!

After leaving Rapid City, South Dakota, we went to a couple of other Kampground of America sites. To be completely honest, nothing particularly awesome happened at these locations. Just like clockwork, my daughter screamed bloody murder about one hour into an average of a six hour ride and said "I am done with this car seat." Pretty funny to say the least. Each place we went we stay for a night. We stopped at Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Newton, Iowa, and Greenfield, Illinois. Once we got to Gatlinurg, Tennessee though, we stayed for a couple of days before making our trek over the Smokies and into North Carolina.

Once we got to Tennessee, we did a few activities but nothing special. We ate an awesome BBQ joint on the first day. We got there later in the afternoon, so we basically just ate and went to bed. In the morning we made our way up to a ranch to ride horse and ATVs.

We got there late to ride horses. Believe it or not we needed to be there basically when it opened but were able to ride the ATVs. Below are some pictures from the ride. We had a lot of fun doing this. It just sucks we were not able to ride the horses.

The Buser Family after stopping at a hill to get a picture.

Believe it or not Riley was excited to ride the ATV, although,
she did hold on for dear life!

We had no idea what to do after this and just went exploring around Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge. There are strips of arcades and fun things to do all over the place. We decided to go to a go-cart/arcade and take the carts for a spin. Weston and I got in a cart, while Hillary and Riley got into a another. That was loads of fun and the first time I ever drove a go-cart. I wished Weston could drive it but he was too little. Afterwards, we got ice-cream at Rita's Italian Ice and then got dinner. Super fun-filled day. We woke up the next day and made our way to Fort Bragg, North Carolina!

Thanks for following through this adventure with my family and I. We had a lots of fun. There were many instances where I wanted to scream, but Hillary heled me handle those issues with the kids. We won't be taking a long drive like this for quite a bit, but whenever we go camping, which should be soon, we will post it here. As always, follow the blog and comment and tell me what you think. Thanks for reading!

Washington Football Team QB Breakdown

Remember, I am a huge Redskins Washington Football Team fan. I thought it would be good for me to exercise my analytical muscle and breakdown the team's skill positions in the aftermath of the draft and leading up to the eventually preseason. First up, we have the quarterbacks.

Roster Changes

Substractions

  • Case Keenum
  • Colt McCoy

Additions

  • Kyle Allen
  • Steven Montez

Haskins and Allen in 2019

Player Breakdown

Dwayne Haskins

Haskins has had his ups and downs last year playing for Washington, but not all of it is his fault. He was selected at number 15 overall and started playing for a coach that really didn't want him. Preseason saw flashes of excellence, but for the most part, average play. No one can doubt Haskins' commitment to the team, however, as he working hard during virtual training sessions and consistently working out with other players to hone his skill. He even lost weight in order to be more mobile with the football. Something that must have struck a nerve with him as other analysts have said he can only pass with a perfect pocket. Haskins finished the season with 7 touchdowns and 7 interceptions and throwing for 1365 yards. He was sacked 25 times in 9 games but we can assume many of these were the result of a weakened offensive line since Pro-Bowler LT Trent Williams did not play for the season. Haskins is poised to be QB1 and has the potential to be a franchise player. However, he is still a kid and only had one year of college. He will need to be developed over the years and Rivera is just the coach to do that.

Kyle Allen

Allen also saw his fair share of ups and downs last season as well. Allen was an undrafted rookie in 2018 and saw limited action. He ended up starting the last game of the season. In 2019, he was thrust into starting action after Cam Newton was injured earlier on in the season. In his 13 games played, Allen threw a respectable 3,322 yards and completed 62% of his passes. He threw 17 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. However, like I stated, Allen had flashes of awesome play and then absolute garbage. He was sacked a ridiculous 46 times and lost 7 of his 13 fumbles. At the end of the season, he was benched in favor of rookie Will Grier. I do not think this is indicitive of absolute poor play, but I do think he is not there as a QB1. Allen will get you through the game and maybe two after, but to have him play for an extended period of time right now...I don't think he has it in him.

Montez playing for Colorado.

Steven Montez

Washington was able to pick up the former University of Colorado Buffalo quarterback and not spend a draft pick. During his four years playing for the Buffalos, Montez posted decent stats. He threw for 9710 yards, while completing 62.4% of his passes. He also threw for 63 touchdowns versus 33 interceptions. He is a great pickup. Even better since no draft pick was wasted to get him. He will be on the active roster but do not count on him getting much action. We are likely to see him play more, perhaps even start at the end of the season if Washington does not make the playoffs in order to assess his potential.

The Latest

Many people questioned why Washington did not go for some of the higher market free agents during the offseason. This included Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston, and Rivera trained Cam Newton. The big one was Newton, as he was a former NFL MVP under Rivera and is probably the one QB in the entire league that is most confident and familiar with his system. First and foremost, this would most likely have detrimental effects on Haskins. He is the first-round draft pick and needs to have the confidence to take over the team. You do not draft a QB in the first round and not use him. He was obviously taken to start for the team. If you were to pick up a veteran QB, like Newton, you are just telling Haskins you do not trust him. He already has a mentor in Smith so that argument is just out of the question. Jacksonville was in the same boat with what to do with Gardner Minshew. They opted to put faith in Minshew and this is exactly what Washington needs to do. I have confidence in Scott Turner and Ken Zampese to develop Haskins into the quarterback Washington needs.

Analysis

Smith will likely contribute as a mentor
for the rather young QB corps.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Haskins is going to get the starting job. Washington under Gruden rarely had three QBs on the full-time roster. This led to complications as Washington suffered injuries throughout his tenure as coach. This was brought to light in the 2018 season as Washington decided to only start the season with Alex Smith and Colt McCoy and went through four starting QBs in a matter of two to three weeks. This led to the signing of journeyman QBs Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson. It is likely for this reason, even though the team has new strength and conditioning coaches, Coach Rivera opted to go with three QBs to make it through the season. He decided to go with Montez taking him as an undrafted free agent. He posted decent numbers as a QB for the University of Colorado. Honestly, a great pickup and didn't have to use a draft pick for it. As for the QBs that left, I am glad Colt McCoy is gone. His fantastic college-level play never really translated to the professional level. He had one good game against the Cowboys and as a result, fans bowed to him. He was better for a less talented Browns team. We are saving a couple a million by not having him on the roster and can use the money elsewhere. As for Case Keenum, I believe he was only here as a role player. We needed a somewhat decent player to get us through the season and that was not McCoy. I never thought he was going to be there long and I fine with his departure. The wild card is still Alex Smith who is still on the team's roster since his probable career-ending injury in 2018. While currently cleared for football action, he is still on the PUP roster. Given the almost two-year-long battle with the injury and subsequent complications from surgery, it is very doubtful he will play and quite honestly, may never play again. He will continue to support the organization as a mentor to the young QBs on the team. It was honestly a heartbreaking injury not only for Smith and his family but for the team. It was likely Washington would have won the division and had a playoff berth. My best assessment is Smith will not play this season and if he does, will be at the end of the season to get back in the groove if Washington does not make the playoffs. Smith very well may be able to play in the future, but will never be at the level he was before the injury. He will likely retire in the next two years.

Projected Depth Chart

  1. Dwayne Haskins
  2. Kyle Allen
  3. Steven Montez
  4. Alex Smith

If you would like me to conduct an analysis on your team, please reach out to me and let me know. I am always looking for more ways to hone my analytical skills. Yes, I will even analyze other NFC East teams as I need to remain objective in my writing and analysis. I look forward to your responses and questions.

The Buser Family Cross Country Road Trip: Part 2

Oh my God. This post took so long to do but it is finally here. I greatly apologize for not posting sooner. I finally got to North Carolina and immediately got busy with work. But here is part two of The Buser Family Road Trip!

After leaving Yellowstone National Park, our next stop was Mount Rushmore. We were unable to stop at The Little Bighorn Battlefield due to oversleeping and my daughter being rowdy. However, it did not take us long to get to South Dakota where Mount Rushmore is located. We had to drive through a nice little tourist town, I believe it was called Keystone. More on that later. But here are the pictures you were really waiting for. The pictures of Mount Rushmore.

So, after finally getting to Mount Rushmore, here are my thoughts on the whole thing. Please feel free to disagree with me. Keep in mind we did not go at night and therefore did not see everything lit up. Even though it does pay homage to some of ou greatest presidents, Mount Rushmore and the town of Keystone is a huge tourist trap. If you look up the history to Mount Rushmore, the creator designed it to be a tourist trap in order to get people to come to South Dakota. My wife and I did not think this was worth it besides in passing. Parking is $10 unless you are military or work in another federal department. It was just not worth making a huge trip for or the main reasoning behind your trip. Helicopter tour would have been cool but we did not have the time or money.

Thanks for reading and sorry this took forever. I am posting more and more as time goes on. Part 3 and our conclusion on the trip will be tomorrow. Consider subscribing and comment!

The Buser Family Cross Country Road Trip: Part 1

I did not get on here to say we started the road trip but we did start the trip. For those who do not know what is going on, I am in the Army and I received orders to North Carolina. We were living in Washington and now have a cross country road trip. It is me, my wife, and two kids. We are also pulling a 33-foot fifth wheel as well. The hardest part was getting from the Seattle/Tacoma area to Yellowstone in the first stretch. I am pleased to report we did just that and safely I might add. Once we got here though, I was knocked out! I was falling asleep in the shower! Army training sure does come in handy, though.

Now, I would like to share my pictures with you all. I will be posting some of the best pictures and videos each day, while also explaining the day and what we thought of everything. My wife and I both took pictures but I will be using mostly mine. If a picture is small and you want to see a bigger size, simply click on the picture and it should bring you to another window with an enlarged photo.

Yellowstone National Park is divided into basically two loops: an upper and lower loop. The largest of the loops is the southern one and this is where Old Faithful is located. We decided to tackle this one first. There are many entrances, but we went through the west gate. As we started to head south to Old Faithful, we stopped at a portion in the river we can get out in.

The river we stopped at.

We took the time to take a few photo-ops. I did a little bit of editing so the one with the kids looks really awesome!

The kids in the water

My wife and I

We got back in the truck and kept on moving. We saw beautiful scenery! More rivers, animals, and geysers. Animals and geysers I will show you in a bit. I have better pictures later in the day than what I took here at this point.

So cool with their sunglasses!
We need to take a second and look at just how cute my kids are! Riley was certainly on a mission and Weston is all smiles. Both of them loved being here. They were knocked out by the end of the day. You can tell they are tired because they get very cranky and unruly. The also fell asleep in the second half of the day. I really can not blame them. I was honestly very tired as well. But let's keep going!

Anyway, we start heading south on the larger loop, and as I said, there were plenty of things to see. Plenty of animals and other sights to see. The Grand Prismatic Lake is a great stop to see. There are other geysers and hot springs like I previously mentioned, so make sure you take a few to explore these as well. You can get closer to these, unlike Old Faithful. There are also mud springs, which are pretty cool to look at. But we wanted to see the big daddy of all geysers in Yellowstone: Old Faithful. You will ride into a sort of lodge area. There is a restaurant and a general store. If you are feeling hungry, this is a good place to stop and also to get gifts, but be prepared on the prices. It is tourist prices. If you are low on gas, you can also fill up here as well. There was plenty of information to let you know the next time Old Faithful was supposed to erupt and it is usually pretty exact. My advice for you on this would to be seated and ready to go at least 15 minutes earlier than what the time says. They do tell you to have a 15-minute buffer, but depending on if you want to sit or not, getting there early would help you get a seat. I will be posting a picture here and placing a video in the end of the trip YouTube video I am planning on making. You might be thinking, "who cares," but this is simply a marvel of the earth you really need to experience. It is mind-blowing what the earth can do.

Old Faithful

At this point, we really saw everything we had to see at Yellowstone. We haven't even got past the half-way point on the lower loop, but we honestly only had the day to experience Yellowstone. We just did not have the time. We decided to just roll in the truck and see what we got into. We drove Yellowstone Lake and got out of the truck and took some pictures. Afterward, we headed north to make our way into Hayden Valley. This is where we saw some of the best animal scenes and got some wonderful pictures. This next picture was simply amazing but the edits I think just made it even better. I am sure you will agree.

Awesome picture of buffalo

So after this picture, I really wanted to see a herd but we have only been seeing a few buffalos here and there. I was complaining quite a bit. I heard stories about herds blocking traffic for hours and even though that sounded really bad, I wanted to check it out. Well, I got my wish! And they never blocked the road. Check this awesome picture out!

Buffalo Herd

I don't know if you can see this very well, but this is a huge herd! Again, click on the pictures if you are needed to see it better. It was an awesome sight to see. There were old and young buffalos. There were even wrestling with each other. You could see the dust getting kicked up! Riley was thrilled to see the "baby bison." She wanted to get close and pet them!

Once we got back into the truck, we finished the northern part of the lower loop and started to make our way on the west side of the upper loop. The eastern portion of the upper loop was shut down. That was the way we wanted to go, but we enjoyed plenty of new sites on the northern side of the upper loop. There are drives on all sections you can detour on. They offer new sights to see or hiking trails and are worth checking out. They will put you back on the main road. We were on our way to Mammoth Hot Springs. It was a beautiful ride that my wife and I enjoyed. This is when the kids were knocked out so we got to spend some quality time together. It was pretty late but still light outside. The Mammoth Hot Springs, I think, is another must-see. They are some beautiful rock formations that spew hot water and the minerals have made beautiful rock formations. They are mostly named after Greek and Roman goddesses. Here is an example of one of the pretty rock formations.

At Mammoth Hot Springs

We also saw many elks at this location. We also have a couple of pictures and videos of them but like Old Faithful, I will put those in the end of the trip video because Riley was pretty funny with them. There were also some other pictures that captured plenty of awesome things on this trip but they just didn't come out great. We saw two brown bears for example, but people in the way taking pictures and our angle did not produce decent enough pictures for me to post. People did get in the way of some pictures, lighting messes some up, and my poor picture/video taking skills also contributed to the way they came out. Overall though, this was an amazing trip and I hope everyone has a chance to see it! My next blog post concerning this trip will be from our adventures at Mount Rushmore. We were supposed to see Little Bighorn and Custer's Last Stand but just could not make it in time. If we have time as we make our way to Mount Rushmore, I will stop and take pictures, but as of the writing of this post, I do not think that will happen.

At the end of our trip, I will be editing together a video of all the best things we did. All the best pictures and videos of the trip! Be sure to be ready for that! I will also periodically post our Roadtrippers link. I will be posting pretty much every single picture and video in there. This blog will serve as a highlight of the adventure. If you liked the content, please consider following the blog to see more. Looking forward to your comments! Thank you.

Someone was tired and we just started the trip!

The Redskins Name Change Fiasco: Analysis of Possible New Names

Ok, this one is hitting kind of hard. Everyone who knows me knows I am a Redskins fan and love the team ever since I was little. I have been watching over the past week and do not know how to respond. I like the Redskins name. I like the Native American imagery. I wish we didn't have to change the name but times change. And honestly, let us not get into the "I am a racist because I like the name Redskins." That does not mean that at all. Never in my 32 years of life have thought anything about race with the name. It was never about that to the fans. However, we all can see what everyone is talking about and understand why the name needs to be changed now.

The Redskins have always been at the forefront of name change controversies, but why just the Redskins? The Cleveland Indians, Chicago Blackhawks, Florida State Seminoles, and Kansas City Chiefs all use Native Americans as their mascot. Before you come up with "well Redskins is derogatory and the others are not," remember, the argument is really about using skin as a mascot and profiting from that. Also, the most current letter to Roger Goodell called for the ceasing of Native American imagery, names, and logos. You can not just change the Redskins. You need to make sweeping movements across all leagues. If they stay around long enough for people to talk, then you are just creating publicity and still profiting.

Let us take a look at all the possible replacements for the team as this seems to be inevitable. I am going to avoid all Native American imagery in this analysis. If it calls for a term that could be used in another way to avoid that context, I will use it. My analysis will also include a simple grading scale of Weak, Neutral, Strong. This, of course, is my own opinion. I also was going to write up an analysis of the Redskins skill positions but I think I am going to wait until it is closer to preseason and the naming controversy is over with. Which for Riveria, is hoping it is soon so to not cause a distraction in training camp and preseason action.

Washington Redhawks - Neutral

There have been a couple of different types of logos for the possible Redhawks, this is the one that most fans have been posting. Little work is needed to be done to the actual logo. Simply take the Redskins out of the circle and place the "R." However, the issues I see are from the feathers and the spear. This does not answer the Native American imagery problems. Those would need to be removed or replaced with the actual hawk image. Overall, I do not hate this logo but I do not like it either.

Washington Redtails - Weak

Here is the logo that has probably gotten the most traction from fans. Even QB Dwayne Haskins stated he liked this logo in a recent interview. The Redtails were the nickname of the Tuskeegee Airmen, an all-black fighter pilot squadron. While this seems like a great idea on paper, considering all the problems going on right now, that is the problem in itself. It seems like a failed attempt to right injustices with today's social climate. Not only that, but we also go from profiting off of Native Americans to profiting off of segregating black men. This does not make sense to me. Besides, the Redtails name is weak. This is a hard pass from me.

Washington Redhogs - Strong

In my personal opinion, this is probably one of the best considerations, if not the best. What bad can you say about it besides you may be a little corny to call them the Redhogs to keep the HTTR chant? In this case, you can just call them the hogs, but I would lose the HTTR then. But this is a great logo because the hog actually looks pretty fierce. To add more of a football vibe, we can even add a helmet with the stripes in the middle. What is more wonderful about this, it pays homage to our legendary offensive line in the Joe Gibbs-era. In this way, we get something new but still looking at Redskins team history and tradition.

Washington Redwolves - Neutral

I am not really against this but I really can't give it a big thumbs up either. I like red and I like wolves but I don't know if I like the Redwolves. Besides, the problem with this logo is the Native American imagery. Race is not a logo so we can not use this. Same with my Redtails opinion. I am not really saying no to this idea but it would need major changes. Using an actual wolf would be the best way to go about it.

Washington Pigskins - Weak

Eh, I can see where everyone was going with this. It is football related, o-line, and cute. But this is football. This logo can not be cute. I get it, little adaptation to media, colors, etc. but I can already see the excessive taunts from other fans from this logo and name change. It is bad enough we have to deal with the Deadskins or foreskins. I can already see all the issues coming from this. So no, sorry. Not going to happen.

Washington Warriors - Strong

I do like this one but only if it stays away from any Native American imagery, which I have seen many examples of. Speaking of, I have seen many different styles ranging from this, swords, and soldiers, but I think I like something like this the most. Or at least some kind of imagery from DC. I think Warriors flows pretty well and you can make slight modifications to the fight song. I do believe this is the name change that is on Dan Snyder's shortlist. We may see something along these lines very soon. Of course, I am prepared for something like this to be the new logo and name.

Washington Generals - Neutral

One of the logos I can see where they are going with but unsure if I am on board. This logo uses George Washington as it's the mascot. Get it, Washington DC, George Washington. Anyways, it makes sense. He is the most senior military officer, past or present, and holds the rank of General of the Armies. It would only make sense to use his likeness. However, there has been controversy surrounding him coming to light in today's climate. I think that is really petty considering what was going on during the time of Washington so it is hard to fault everyone, but the logo listed is not one I would approve of. I would go for a more subdued look or use a default soldier or general. I also do not like the idea of being named after a team that consistently loses to the Globetrotters but that is a different story and would show my level of pettiness.

Washington Renegades - Weak

Renegades flow really well and you can keep the HTTR, but that is where this stops. Renegade means a person who deserts or betrays an organization, country, or set of principles. Because of this, I think this is a poor example. The Redskins organization is fully committed to a culture change as well as a name change, as this was evident during the offseason of firing pretty much all staff and hiring all new coaches. I do not think this would vibe well with that shift. Also, anything to do with betrayal or desertion in our nation's capital just does not sit right with me.

Washington Braves - Weak

Can not go too much into this. The name Braves defeats the purpose of what the name change is all about. It has Native American imagery and names. This just does not work. Another hard pass that needs to stop.

Washington Senators - Strong

I know this logo says federals but I would give that a weak and would prefer to use the logo with the Senator moniker. I like the Senators. There was a baseball team in Washington called the Senators before they were moved to Minnesota and it would play well into the Washington Nationals baseball team. It is very similar to how Chicago operates with the Cubs and Bears. My old high school mascot was the Senators so I am a little biased. But overall, this is not bad. I could rock something like this. Maybe not the logo, but the name I could.

Washington Sentinels - Neutral

This is more of a joke than anything else but after thinking about it, I can really get into it if it is done right. The name Sentinels comes from the 2000 movie titled, The Replacements, starring Keanu Reeves. The movie draws from real-life situations from the Redskins, including the winning Super Bowl team during the 1987 NFL strike. The Falco-Martel starting QB controversy is very similar to the one experienced by Doug Williams and Jay Schroeder. This could work but the logo would need to be changed to fit today's standards. The below logo is more of an 1980s-1990s sports logo.

I guess it is just the tradition I am afraid of losing. My father was a Redskins fan as was his father. My son is a Redskins fan as a result. Something we all have bonded over. I love screaming "HAIL TO THE REDSKINS" and I love singing our fight song after every touchdown. I never worried about any negative connotations to using Redskins. I just loved the team and loved the symbols. But I can root for a team with a different name. I can create new loves and traditions with a new team name. And I can still bond with my son regardless of the name.

What do you think about my analysis of potential new names? What are your top names? I would love to hear your thoughts on the name changes and my analysis as well as your potential names as well. Also, what are your thoughts concerning the whole thing anyway? Is this a little too much or should it be changed? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading!

Happy Fourth of July 2020!

It has been a while since I posted anything and that is going to change this weekend. I should have the layout of the site all figured out and we are actually stuck waiting on the Army to sign paperwork to leave. So, that means the site will be done, coding wise, and I will be posting more. I was upset I only posted 10 blog posts last month. I am going to shoot for 20 posts for a month. 15 will be my mark though.

In the meantime, I want to wish everyone a very Happy Fourth of July! I know the political and social tension is something...well something else right now but that still does not mean we aren't the greatest country in the world and a model to other countries. I want all my readers celebrating to make sure you are safe and do not drink and drive.

We are planning on going to our son's friend's house because we do not know when he will see him again. What are your plans for the day? Let me know in the comments!

Every 4th of July you will be treated with an epic picture of presidents and founding fathers. So here is one of George Washington! Have a Happy Fourth of July!
